I live on the side of a mountain near a lake in utah. We get some pretty strong winds. I placed this ontop of my patio set. One night we had a really bad storm and I figured the cover would be on the ground next to the patio set. When I woke up there it was next to the patio set. I decided to place some large rocks ontop of the cover. The cover has not moved since. I would assume that if you have little wind you would not have a problem at all. Very strong material.

This outdoor furniture is nice and large. I have a 60" round table with 6 chairs and this covers everything and then some. I use the extra material to slide under the chairs. The hole is nice because it allows you to leave your umbrella out. Most covers do not have this hole. I also have a cover for my umbrella. For the time being, I use a large bottle of vodka filled with water (vodka is gone of course) to stand on top of the table so the rain can bounce and drip down. I plan on making something similar to the umbrella stick to prevent rain from dripping inside to the table. The only negative is that it kind of smells funny. Hopefully it will go away over time but more importantly, I need to protect my patio furniture. I'd recommend.

I bought this patio cover this week and so far i got it setup, covering my patio furniture. However, I dont know how i can cover the umbrella hole on the top of the cover. i dont want to have my umbrella standing in my patio during winter storms. Any idea if these covers come with something to close the umbrella hole that i might have missed? in the absence of such an option, i am likely to return this.

I understand that the hole in the middle is meant to accommodate an umbrella, but I don't have an umbrella. So now water can get into the hole and onto my table, which kind of defeats the purpose of having a cover. But that's my fault and I should have taken that into consideration before I ordered. It's very sturdy and otherwise works great.
